Two late-night traffic accidents in southeastern Afghanistan left at least 52 individuals dead and more than 65 injured, the Islamic Emirate confirmed early Thursday.
The accidents on Wednesday night occurred in Ghazni province.
Both accidents included buses and one included a fuel tanker.
According to a declaration issued by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) stated: && It is with fantastic remorse that we found out that two deadly traffic accidents took place on the Kabul-Kandahar highway, as an outcome of which 52 of our compatriots were martyred and 65 others were injured.&& The Islamic Emirate has directed the appropriate directorate&& s to examine the two accidents to identify the specific reason for both.
The Directorate of Information and Culture of Ghazni province meanwhile stated in a declaration that 47 people had passed away and 73 others were injured in the mishaps.
The directorate specified that the hurt had actually been required to healthcare facility; a few of whom remained in a vital condition.
One mishap included a traveler bus and a fuel tanker and the other included a guest bus and truck.
