Using this facility, individuals who had filed their income tax online (through the e-filing process) can find information on the status of their submission, according to the Income Tax Department's website.
This means the status of only those income tax returns that are filed online - or e-filed - is available through the taxman's online service.

In other words, if you haven't linked the two identification numbers already, you have less than five weeks to do so.
