
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said that the Beijing meeting between China, Russia and Iran on the Iranian nuclear problem to be hung on Friday is Chinas newest diplomatic effort for regional peace.Mao made the remarks at a news instruction on Friday.
She stated that as an irreversible member of the United Nations Security Council and an individual in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), China has regularly promoted for correctly resolving the Iranian nuclear problem through political and diplomatic methods, preserving the international non-proliferation regime, and promoting peace and stability in the Middle East.The spokesperson stated the meeting intends to improve communication and coordination and create conditions for the early resumption of dialogue and settlements.
In the present scenario, we hope that all parties included will stay calm and exercise restraint to avoid escalating stress and even moving towards conflict and dispute, Mao said.She expressed hope that all parties can meet each other midway, constantly develop trust and eliminate doubts, and translate the momentum for resuming discussion and settlements into truth at an early date.
