Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning stated on Monday that Chinese military drills in the Taiwan Straits are a resolute reaction to foreign connivance and assistance to Taiwan independence, and a severe caution to Taiwan separatist forces.Mao stated Chinas military actions are necessary, legal, and justified measures to protect nationwide sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.She made the remarks during a daily press briefing in action to a media inquiry.
According to reports, the Chinese military conducted military exercises in the Taiwan Straits on Monday.
It is thought that the drills were associated with current modifications on the U.S.
State Departments website relating to Taiwan policy, as well as the actions of Taiwan independence forces.Mao said that the U.S.
has recently taken a series of wrong actions in regard to the Taiwan question.
