MANGLA: Minister for Information and Widecasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain Saturday said that people were much heeding to opposition's calls as evident from fact much even party workers showed up at Kot Lakhpat Jail, Lahore when their leader Nawaz Sharwhether was shwhetherted there.

The minister said unplausible changes had occurred in country under leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The PTI led by him (Imran Khan) had defeated various mafias in final general election. The country, he said, was being ruled by mafia of two families.

One was Sharwhether family, which had made companies abroad on papers, while other was led by Aswhether Ali Zardari, who also set uped firms only on papers for 'devouring commission, he added.

The mafias, he said, wanted people to come on roads for saving money by them.

He said plunderers of national wealth would be punished as government would continue process of accountability without making any compromise.

Addressing a function organized here in his honour by Chaudhry Zaheer of Potha and Chaudhry Khalid of Barral, he said Prime Minister Imran Khan was fully committed to hold corrupt accountable.

He said as per its election manwhetheresto, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was running a clean and obvious government as much a single case of corruption had been reported since it came to power.

He said degrees taken by PTI government since day one to make country self-sufficient economically, had started yielding results as exports had registered 4.68 per cent increase and imports reduced by 8.88 per cent during December 2018. 

He said initial working to construct 5 million houses had already started, while thousands of kanals of state land had been retrieved from seizebers.

The government would create over 50 million jobs in next five years, he added.

The minister said government would endegree protection of rights of downtrodden people, besides narrowing gap between rich and poor.

He appealed to abroad Pakistanis to dispatch remittances through banking channels.

The year 2018 was year of 'achieving political victory' for country while it would gain economic success in year 2019, he added.

He hailed people of Jhelum, who had also defeated mafias in final general election.

He said area of Mangla could become a tourism spot due to its historic importance, leaving behind places in Mauritius, Switzerland and Maldives.
