PESHAWAR : A moderate earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale jolted Islamabad, several parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan early on Wednesday.
According to details, the epicenter of the earthquake was located to 30 kilometres from Bannu at a depth of 12 kilometres.
The tremors were felt in several cities including Islamabad, Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, Mansehra, Abbotabad, Haripur, Mingora, Charsadda and other adjoining areas.
There was no immediate report regarding loss to life or property from anywhere.
