Stock market update: Capital goods stocks mixed; NBCC, V-Guard Industries among top gainers

NEW DELHI: Capital goods stocks were trading mixed during the last hour of trade on Thursday. Shares of NBCC (India) (up 1.90 per cent),
Finolex Cables (up 1.80 per cent), V-Guard Industries (up 1.61 per cent), Kalpataru Power Transmissions (up 1.41 per cent) and Suzlon Energy
(up 1.23 per cent) were trading with gains. Mahindra CIE Automotive (up 1.17 per cent), Siemens (up 0.84 per cent), Schaeffler India (up
0.71 per cent), Larsen Toubro (up 0.47 per cent), Welspun Corp (up 0.39 per cent) and Thermax (up 0.12 per cent) also featured among
gainers. On the other hand, GE TD India (down 8.55 per cent), Reliance Naval and Engineering (down 2.81 per cent), ABB India (down 2.42 per
cent), Lakshmi Machine Works (down 2.11 per cent) and Graphite India (down 2.03 per cent) were in the negative zone. Shares of Carborundum
Universal (down 1.39 per cent), Sadbhav Engineering (down 1.35 per cent), Va Tech Wabag (down 1.17 per cent), Havells India (down 1.13 per
cent), BHEL (down 0.93 per cent), CG Power and Industrial Solutions (down 0.56 per cent) and Bharat Electronics (down 0.47 per cent) were
also in the red. The BSE Capital Goods was trading flat at 18,431 around 3 pm
Benchmark BSE Sensex was up 233 points at 34,578, while the NSE Nifty50 index was up 55 points at 10,486
In the Sensex index, 21 stocks were in the green, while 10 in the red. Bharti Airtel, Infosys, TCS and Sun Pharma were among top gainers in
the Sensex index. Tata Motors, ONGC and Bajaj Auto were the top Sensex losers.
