Oil gas major GAIL on Thursday reported nearly fourfold jump in net profit at Rs 1,021 crore for March quarter, which was lower than Rs
1,262 crore analysts had estimated in an ET Now poll.
The state-run company had reported Rs 260 crore profit in the same quarter last
year.
Sales for the company grew 12.84 per cent to Rs 15,430.69 crore from Rs 13674.09 crore in the year-ago quarter, beating ET Now poll
estimate of Rs 14,500 crore
Ebitda for the quarter came in at Rs 1,695 crore
This was against Rs 1,555 crore in the same quarter last year
ET Now poll had predicted Ebitda at Rs 2,100 crore.
Margins for the quarter at 11 per cent fell short of ET Now poll estimate of 14.50 per
