Stock market update: Over 50 stocks hit 52-week lows on NSE defying positive market mood

NEW DELHI: Tata Consultancy Services, Alchemist, Atlanta, Chromatic India, Arrow Greentech, Engineers India and JK Lakshmi Cement hit
52-week lows on NSE during Thursday's trade. By 11:20 am, as many as 54 stocks had touched their 52-week low level on NSE even as equity
markets were positive. KSK Energy Ventures, Manpasand Beverages, Orient Paper Industries, Rolta India and Ruchi Infrastructure also
featured among the stocks that hit 52-week lows on NSE today. Key equity indices were trading up, tracking positive global cues after
worries over the political crisis in Italy subsided. Short-covering of bets, today being the last session of May expiry in the derivatives
segment, kept the overall sentiment up. Private bank, IT and financial stocks were experiencing buying interest. The NSE Nifty index was
trading 32 points up at 10,646, while the BSE Sensex was up 119 points at 35,025 around 11:20 am. In the Nifty pack, 24 stocks were trading
in the positive terrain, while 26 were in the negative zone. Sun Pharma, ICICI Bank, Dr Reddy's Labs and Vedanta were among the top losers
in the Nifty index.
