NEW DELHI: A majority of capital goods stocks were trading in the negative territory during afternoon trade on Thursday.
The BSE Capital
Goods index was trading 0.27 per cent down at 18,889 around 01:15 pm with 9 stocks advancing and 17 declining
Shares of CG Power and Industrial Solutions plunged 13 per cent, trading as the top loser of the pack.
The company on Wednesday said that
its consolidated net loss increased by 31 per cent to Rs 581.82 crore in the quarter ended on March 2018 due to provision of exception items
of Rs 414.84 crore, PTI reported.
V-Guard Industries (down 5.13 per cent) and Suzlon Energy (down 4.35 per cent) were up next among the
Bharat Electronics (down 2.39 per cent), NBCC (India) (down 2.23 per cent), Siemens (down 1.38 per cent), ABB India (down 1.20 per cent),
BEML (down 1.11 per cent) and Mahindra CIE Automotive (down 1.01 per cent) declined significantly.
Graphite India (down 0.77 per cent),
Sadbhav Engineering (down 0.74 per cent), AIA Engineering (down 0.71 per cent), Carborundum Universal (down 0.59 per cent), Havells India
(down 0.49 per cent), Schaeffler India (down 0.44 per cent) and Welspun Corp (down 0.43 per cent) also found themselves among the losers.
On
the other hand, shares of GE TD India (up 6.64 per cent) and Reliance Naval and Engineering (up 2.88 per cent) were treading higher.
Va Tech
Wabag (up 1.15 per cent), BHEL (up 0.96 per cent), Kalpataru Power Transmissions (up 0.85 per cent), Thermax (up 0.61 per cent), Finolex
Cables (up 0.40 per cent), SKF India (up 0.35 per cent), Lakshmi Machine Works (up 0.26 per cent) and Larsen Toubro (up 0.22 per cent) too
appeared among gainers.
ICICI Bank, Sun Pharma and Hero MotoCorp were among the top losers in the Sensex pack of stocks.
