INSUBCONTINENT EXCLUSIVE:
NEW DELHI: HDFC Bank (Rs 2496.41 crore) and ICICI Bank (Rs 107.35 crore) were the most active stocks in terms of value on NSE in the morning
trade on Monday.
Sebi has said in a showcause notice that ICICI Bank's chief executive Chanda Kochhar didn't adhere to its code of conduct,
which required the disclosure of any conflict of interest in the case involving Videocon Group and NuPower Renewables, a firm owned by her
husband Deepak Kochhar, ET reported
PC Jeweller (Rs 106.84 crore), Maruti Suzuki (Rs 90.19 crore), Dr
Reddy's Labs (Rs 87.14 crore), HDFC (Rs 83.81 crore), YES Bank (Rs 80.26 crore), Reliance Industries (Rs 79.88 crore), Tata Motors (Rs 79.48
crore) and Mahindra Mahindra (Rs 71.54 crore) also joined the league of most active stocks in terms of value.
Equity benchmarks were in the
positive territory amid firm global cues as the US stocks jumped, reacting to the latest jobs data of the world's largest economy
The NSE Nifty index was trading 15 points up at 10,711, while the BSE Sensex was up 55 points at 35,282 around 09:35 am.
In the Nifty
index, 34 stocks were in the green, while 16 were in the red.
Dr
Reddy's Laboratories, Tech Mahindra, HPCL, IndusInd Bank and Mahindra Mahindra were among the top gainers in the Nifty index.
On the other
hand, UltraTech Cement, HDFC Bank, Adani Ports SEZ, Indiabulls Housing Finance and Asian Paints were leading among Nifty losers.
