Stock market update: Capital goods index down almost 1%; Graphite India, BHEL among top losers

NEW DELHI: The BSE Capital Goods index was trading 0.94 per cent down at 18,519 around 02:15 pm on Monday, with only 3 stocks advancing in
trade, while 23 declining
Shares of Bharat Electronics (up 0.99 per cent), Schaeffler India (up 0.88 per cent) and Mahindra CIE Automotive (up 0.36 per cent) were
the gainers in the index
Shares of Graphite India, Reliance Naval and Engineering, CG Power and Industrial Solutions and BHEL and Welspun Corp plunged up to 5 per
cent. Shares of Siemens, NBCC (India), Suzlon Energy and Sadbhav Engineering tanked up to 4 per cent. Carborundum Universal, V-Guard
Industries, Va Tech Wabag, Finolex Cables and ABB India declined up to 2 per cent. BEML, GE TD India, Lakshmi Machine Works, Kalpataru Power
Transmissions, Thermax, Larsen Toubro, AIA Engineering and SKF India also found themselves among the losers in the index. Benchmark NSE
Nifty50 index was down 53 points at 10,643, while the BSE Sensex was 154 points down at 35,073
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 15 were trading in the green, while 35 were in the red
