NEW DELHI: Metal shares were trading in the negative zone in Friday's morning session.
Shares of Jindal Stainless (Hisar) (down 2.48 per
cent) , MOIL (down 2.26 per cent) , Hindustan Copper (down 1.63 per cent) and Welspun Corp (down 1.53 per cent) were the top losers in the
index.
APL Apollo Tubes (down 1.46 per cent) , Hindustan Zinc (down 1.24 per cent) , JSW Steel (down 0.47 per cent) and National Aluminium
Company (down 0.43 per cent) too were trading with losses
The Nifty Metal index was trading 0.09 per cent down at 2776.05 around 10:40 am
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 68.10 points at 11,528.80 while the BSE Sensex was down 216.25 points at 38,681.21
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 10 were trading in the green, while 39 were in the red
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Dish TV India, Ashok Leyland, SBI, NTPC, Biocon, Bank of Baroda, ONGC and Tata Motors were among the
most traded shares on the NSE.
