INSUBCONTINENT EXCLUSIVE:
NEW DELHI: Oil gas stocks Petronet LNG (up 2.23 per cent), Indian Oil Corporation (up 1.58 per cent), Indraprastha Gas (up 1.23 per cent)
and Oil India (up 1.13 per cent) were trading with gains during afternoon trade on Tuesday.
The BSE Oil Gas index was trading 0.36 per cent
up at 14,213 around 12:40 pm
Shares of HPCL (up 0.99 per cent), BPCL (up 0.81 per cent) and ONGC (up 0.51 per cent) were also in the positive territory
However, Reliance Industries (down 1.55 per cent) and GAIL (India) (down 0.20 per cent) were in teh red around that time
Gains in HDFC, ITC, TCS, IndusInd Bank and Maruti gave a fillip to benchmark Sensex.
The BSE Sensex was up 103 points at 35,573, while the
NSE Nifty50 index was up 32 points at 10,794.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 33 were trading in the green, while 17 were in the red
In the Sensex kitty, 20 stocks were advancing, while 11 were declining.
Tata Motors, Reliance Industries and Tata Steel were among the top
losers in the Sensex index.
