Uttam Value Steel (number of shares traded: 0.15 crore), ONGC (number of shares traded: 0.14 crore), Reliance Power (number of shares
traded: 0.14 crore), RIL (number of shares traded: 0.13 crore), Axis Bank (number of shares traded: 0.12 crore) and Alok Industries (number
of shares traded: 0.11 crore) also featured among the most traded stocks on the NSE
RIL (Rs 141.45 crore) was leading the pack of most active stocks in value terms.
It was followed by HDFC (Rs 84.00 crore), HDFC Bank (Rs
Unilever (Rs 55.89 crore), Axis Bank (Rs 43.31 crore), TCS (Rs 42.72 crore), Bajaj Finance (Rs 30.07 crore), SBI (Rs 30.01 crore), ICICI
Bank (Rs 29.82 crore) and Kotak Bank (Rs 24.92 crore)
The NSE Nifty index was trading 64.55 points down at 8189.25, while the BSE Sensex was
down 223.51 points at 28,041.8 around 09:17 am

Hindustan Unilever (up 2.02 per cent) and Bharti Infratel (up 1.45 per cent) were among the top gainers
While Kotak Mahindra Bank (down 5.93 per cent), IndusInd Bank (down 4.05 per cent), Housing Development Finance Corporation (down 3.95 per
cent), Tata Motors (down 3.61 per cent) and ICICI Bank (down 2.73 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
