NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea with over 0.70 crore shares changing hands was leading among the most traded stocks on NSE on Thursday. Shares of
SBI (number of shares traded: 0.16 crore), Rash Chem Fertilizer (number of shares traded: 0.15 crore), Cadila Healthcare (number of shares
traded: 0.12 crore), Vedanta (number of shares traded: 0.12 crore), ICICI Bank (number of shares traded: 0.11 crore), Sun Pharma (number of
shares traded: 0.10 crore), Hindalco Industries (number of shares traded: 0.09 crore), ITC (number of shares traded: 0.09 crore) and
IndusInd Bank (number of shares traded: 0.08 crore) also featured among the most traded stocks on the NSE
HDFC Bank (Rs 50.36 crore) was leading the pack of most active stocks in value terms. It was followed by Sun Pharma (Rs 45.98 crore),
Cadila Healthcare (Rs 42.93 crore), HDFC (Rs 39.34 crore), ICICI Bank (Rs 35.20 crore), IndusInd Bank (Rs 34.71 crore), RIL (Rs 33.81
crore), Axis Bank (Rs 32.79 crore), TCS (Rs 32.39 crore) and SBI (Rs 29.81 crore) The NSE Nifty index was trading 216.05 points up at
8964.8, while the BSE Sensex was up 734.94 points at 30628.9 around 09:17AM (IST)
In the Nifty index, Cipla (up 10.00 per cent), Vedanta (up 5.41 per cent), Mahindra - Mahindra (up 4.87 per cent), Wipro (up 4.59 per cent)
and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (up 4.53 per cent) were among the top gainers
While Adani Ports - Special Economic Zone (down 0.34 per cent), Hindustan Unilever (down 0.37 per cent), Grasim Industries (down 0.73 per
cent), Coal India (down 1.02 per cent) and Power Grid Corporation of India (down 1.11 per cent) were the top losers.
