While 3 of them were nabbed from Ernakulam in Kerala, 6 were arrested from Murshidabad in Bengal.The simultaneous raids were conducted in
the early hours at Ernakulam and Murshidabad by NIA teams.Preliminary investigation has revealed that the group was planning to launch
terror attacks at vital installations in the country with an aim to kill innocent people
They had Delhi-NCR on their radar and had gathered explosives and other incriminating material.Officials have said the Al-Qaeda terror
module was actively involved in fund-raising and some of its members were planning to travel to New Delhi to procure arms and ammunition and
that the arrests have prevented possible terrorist attacks in various parts of the country.
