Union cabinet approves Akash missiles to friendly nations

New Delhi: The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved the export of the surface-to-air Akash missiles to friendly nations, and created a
committee for faster approval of exports or other armaments.Akash, which has a range of 25 km, has over 96 per cent indigenisation
It was inducted into the Air Force in 2014 and the Army in 2015
The export of big platforms was minimal
