COVID-19: Bahrain suspends entry for travellers from India, four other countries

Colombo: Bahrain has announced the suspension of entry for tourists getting here from 5 South Asian nations from Monday amidst the COVID-19
surge.According to Colombo Page, Bahrain's Civil Aviation Affairs has announced the suspension of entry for travellers getting here from red
list countries, namely - India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal - on all flights beginning with today.The measure has been taken
in line with Government Executive Committee directives and based upon the suggestions of the National Medical Taskforce for Combatting the
coronavirus
Bahraini people and residency visa holders are not subject to the suspension but will need to provide an approved PCR test certificate
conducted no greater than two days prior to boarding and carry out another PCR test on arrival and on the tenth day of stay.In addition,
people and residency visa holders must quarantine for 10 days at their residence or at a certified quarantine center approved by the
National Health Regulatory Authority.Red list nations are modified based on an assessment made by the National Medical Taskforce for
Fighting the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and is occasionally reviewed in line with global developments
