Bank holidays in March 2022: The list is as per Reserve Bank of India calendar.Mahashivratri, Holi and other holidays will lead to closure
of bank branches for 13 days in the month of March
Out of these 13, seven holidays are as per Reserve Bank of India (RBI) calendar, which others are the weekends.It is important to note that
bank branches in every state of the country will not remain closed for all 13 days
The holiday list includes the festivals celebrated either in one state, a group of states or most of India.Here is the list of bank holidays
for the next month:On the first day of the month (March 1), banks will remain closed in Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar,
Chandigarh, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kochi, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Raipur, Ranchi, Shimla, Srinagar and
Thiruvananthapuram due to Mahashivratri.On March 3, banks in Gangtok will be closed on account of Losar
The next day, Chapchar Kut will be celebrated in Aizawl, leading to closure of bank branches there.The RBI calendar further says that on
Holika Dahan on March 17, bank branches in Dehradun, Kanpur, Lucknow and Ranchi will remain closed.For the second consecutive day (March
18), banks will be closed in Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Belapur, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Gangtok, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur,
Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Panaji, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Shillong, Shimla and Srinagar on account of Holi.Some cities
will keep brank branches closed on March 19, due to Holi festivities and Yaosang
These are: Bhubaneswar, Imphal and Raipur.On March 22, bank branches in Patna will remain closed due to Bihar Divas.Apart from these, March
6, 13, 20 and 27 will be Sunday, while March 12 and 26 will be second and fourth Saturdays, due to which banks will remain closed.
