Nepal records 17 COVID-19 cases on Saturday

caseload of Nepal climbed to 3,595 on Saturday as eight people tested positive for the infection in past 24 hours.

The latest reported number of infections carried the nationwide tally to 978,127 while
the death toll remains at 11,950 as no fatalities were recorded today. Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at
962,582 with 409 discharges logged today.As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 4,543 tests were conducted in
the last 24 hours of which 1,993 were PCR tests while 2,550 were antigen tests
With this, a total of 5,503,048 PCR tests have been carried out till date.Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed nine positive cases in the
past 24 hours
The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests totals to 17.Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at
98.4%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.2%.Currently, there are 106 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
