Sri Lanka Police says that a total of 159 persons were arrested yesterday over the incidents in Galle Face and Kollupitiya and for attacking
persons, causing damages to public and private property etc
spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa said that a total of 398 persons have been arrested so far in connection with the incidents of violence in the
past few days while 101 have been released on bail by courts
them have already been remanded.He said that as of 6.00 am today, 756 complaints were received regarding incidents of violence and unrest
that took place island-wide and that investigations are being carried out under the direct supervision of the Senior DIG and DIGs in charge
of respective provinces as well as the officers in charge of the divisions.
