his closest opponent Lakhon Biam of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with a margin of 5,337 votes, as per the ECI

individualss Democratic Front were ahead in 2 constituencies each.Meghalaya has 60 seats, but polling in the Sohiong seat was adjourned due
to the death of a candidate.
