Dera Sacha Sauda chief Ram Rahim gave parole once again

CHANDIGARH: The Haryana government has granted a 30-day parole to the controversial Dera Sacha Sauda (DSS) chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh,
who is a convict in rape and murder cases
It is for the second time that he has been released on parole this year
Earlier in January, he was granted parole by the Haryana government.While granting parole to the controversial preacher, who is currently
confined to Sunaria jail in Rohtak, the commissioner, Rohtak division, has made it clear that he shall remain present at Shah Satnam Ji
Ashram Dera Sacha Sauda Barnava, district Bagpat in Uttar Pradesh and shall not leave the district without prior permission of the district
magistrate (DM) Bagpat
He has been granted parole after DM Bagpat in his report dated July 18 had given clearance for the same."The releasing authority is
satisfied that the applicant-prisoner is entitled to be released under the Haryana Good Conduct Prisoners (Temporary Release) Act 2022 in
view of the report of superintendent, district jail Rohtak, DM Bagpat and superintendent of police Bagpat," says the order issued by the
Commissioner, Rohtak division in his orders granting parole to the dera chief.Some of the conditions imposed on Dera chief includes all
information to DM Bagpat about his stay, to maintain peace and good behaviour, to cooperate with the police and local administration
regarding the conditions mentioned in the report submitted by the DM Bagpat in his report dated July 18.Dera chief has also been asked to
furnish, to the satisfaction of district magistrate concerned, a personal bond and two sureties in the sum of Rs 3 lakh each for faithful
observance of the conditions specified in the release warrant.The incharge of the police station concerned has also been directed to keep a
close watch on the conduct and activities of Dera Chief during the temporary release and submit a report in this regard to the
superintendent jail through the deputy commissioner of police or SP as early as possible.
