[India] - Rahul 'outdated' leader, can't match speed of KCR: BRS leader

INSUBCONTINENT EXCLUSIVE:
NEW DELHI: With the Congress gearing up for an all-out fight in the Telangana assembly elections later this year, the ruling Bharat Rashtra
Samithi (BRS) on Wednesday targeted Rahul Gandhi calling him an "outdated leader."The Congress, which is holding the first meeting of its
newly constituted working committee in Hyderabad on September 17 and 18, plans to announce its five guarantees for poll-bound Telangana - a
move that played an important role in the grand old party's impressive victory in Karnataka earlier this year. The announcement will be made
on September 17, the day on which Indian armed forces took control of the princely state of Hyderabad in 1948
A chargesheet against the BRS government will also be released on the same day.But the BRS is not impressed with the Congress plans
BRS leader and MLC K Kavitha slammed the grand old party for planning schemes that are already implemented by them and questioned if the
promises they are making in Telangana were implemented in the Congress-ruled states.Speaking at the BRS party meeting at Jagtial, she said
Telangana is regarded as the number one state in India when it comes to providing employment opportunities, per capita income, communal
harmony, agriculture production, women development and attracting investments, among others."Recently Khargeji (AICC President Mallikarjun
Kharge) came here and said if the Congress comes to power (in Telangana) they will issue deeds to Podu lands
We have already done that
Don't they get updated
I am telling Congress leaders that your Rahul Gandhi is an outdated leader without any update
He can't match the speed of KCR," she said.Kavitha also claimed that since Rahul Gandhi was not able to counter Prime Minister Narendra Modi
effectively, the BRS had become an alternative to the Congress at the national level."I am asking Sonia Gandhi madam and Rahul Gandhiji
Give me the answer
Where is the Women Reservation Bill ..
You answer this first and come to Telangana," Kavitha said. The Congress is confident of good performance in the state after the success of
Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra in the state
However, the Congress also faces a stiff challenge from the BJP which has made deep inroads in the state and plans to contest hard to
challenge the BRS.With Telangana all set to see a keen three-cornered contest, the Congress will hope to improve its performance in the
state.(With inputs from agencies)
