Negative remarks in LS: Rahul meets BSP MP Danish Ali

INSUBCONTINENT EXCLUSIVE:
NEW DELHI: Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury on Friday wrote a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla over the issue of derogatory
statement made by BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri against BSP MP Danish Ali.In his letter, Chowdhury urged Om Birla to take stringent action as per
the rules against Ramesh Bidhuri for using "brazenly abusive and unparliamentary words against a member of a leading political party, Danish
Ali, who also happens to be from the minority community"."What is even more regrettable is the fact that this unprecedented, unfortunate and
unsavoury incident has happened during the Special Session of the Parliament, that has been convened to commemorate 75 years of its history
and that too, during the course of the discussion to mark the success of 'Mission Chandrayan-3," Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury wrote."The incident
also reflects the mindset against the opposition and the minority community
expunging the remarks from the records of the House has no meaningful impact
Considering the circumstances and the brazen violation of all norms and rules relating to the functioning of the House, it would only be
appropriate to have the matter examined in detail by the Privileges Committee and punitive action taken against the errant Member, Ramesh
Bidhuri," he added.Earlier today, Danil Ali also met Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and KC Venugopal at the latter's residence in Delhi
After meeting Danish Ali, Rahul Gandhi said, "Nafrat ke Bazaar mein Mohabbat ki Dukan."Danish Ali said if action is not taken against
Bidhuri for his remarks, then he could consider quitting the membership of the House
He also said that people had not elected him to listen to "hate speeches".Bidhuri made certain objectionable remarks targeted at Ali on
Thursday night during a discussion in the Lok Sabha on the success of the Chandrayaan-3 mission.
