COIMBATORE: A 27-year-old man from Sirumugai in Coimbatore district died by suicide by jumping from the 24th floor of an apartment building
in Taiwan late Tuesday night.The deceased has been identified as P Rahulram, 27, of Jeeva Nagar at Sirumugai
His father Panchalingam, 55, is a voluntarily retired government employee, while his mother Selvi, 50, works as a teacher at a government
higher secondary school at Sirumugaipudur.Preliminary inquiry revealed that Rahulram had completed BE (chemical engineering) at Karaikudi in
Sivaganga district.Five years ago, he moved to Taiwan, where he completed his PhD and started working in a private company
He was residing on the 24th floor of an apartment building in New Taipei.Donning a new dress on Diwali day on November 12, Rahulram called
his mother over WhatsApp and informed her that he was planning to join another company soon
However, Selvi had advised him to return to his hometown.Meanwhile, Rahulram jumped from the 24th floor of the apartment building and died
on the spot late Tuesday night.A native of Tiruchengode in Namakkal district, who was residing in the same apartment building, contacted the
