[Afghanistan] - Commerce Ministry indications MoU with 10 business

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MoIC) says it has signed memoranda of understanding with ten organizations to support and develop
small and medium enterprises.The ministry&s spokesman Abdul Salam Jawad Akhundzada said that the issue of women&s empowerment is also
considered in these memoranda.&These projects include various consulting sections, supporting small and medium entrepreneurs, promoting
marketing for entrepreneurs, empowering poor women, creating job opportunities, sewing training for girls and widows, developing
handicrafts, and creating jobs for women without caretakers,& said Jawad Akhundzada.He added that these projects will start in Kabul,
Samangan, Sar-e- Pul, Herat, Baghlan, Balkh and Badakhshan provinces.Meanwhile, the Association of Industrialists welcomes the signing of
these agreements, saying that small businesses can play a good role in the country&s economy.Head of Afghanistan Industrialists Association
Abdul Jabbar said that small businesses can play an important role in creating jobs for unemployed people in the country.Economic experts
also believe that small investments can provide work for many.&Experience has shown that the level of small economic interactions in
first-world countries has created more job opportunities,& said an economic analyst.However, the Islamic Emirate has paid more attention to
large economic programs in the last two years
