More than 11,000 animals lost throughout recent snowfall in Balkh

Local officials in Balkh announced Sunday that 11,418 livestock have been lost during the snowfall in past few days in the northern Afghan
province.Balkh Media Center in a statement said that the livestock were lost in Shulgarh, Chahi, Kishandeh, Chaharbulak, Chimtal, Shurtipe,
Chaharkint, Alborz, Dehdadi, Marmel and Kaldar districts.The statement noted that an emergency committee is working to save the lives of
animals and humans and has delivered food to them.Local authorities in Kandahar have also announced that more than 1,000 cattle have died in
the last three days in the province.This comes as the Islamic Emirate allocated 50 million Afghanis on Thursday for the purpose of
