Top cop involved in ex-MP Uddika s staged shooting incident flees country

vehicle of former Anuradhapura District parliamentarian Uddika Premaratne, has reportedly fled the country.Investigations have uncovered
that the suspected police officer has handed over his official firearm to another person at the airport and left the country.Meanwhile, the
Ministry of Public Security states that action will be taken to arrest the relevant suspect as per court orders
The Ministry also mentioned that steps will be taken to record statements from former MP Uddika Premaratne.On Friday (14), Sri Lanka Police
said that it was uncovered that the incident where several gunshots had been fired at the vehicle belonging to former Anuradhapura District
parliamentarian Uddika Premaratne, had been orchestrated by the actor-turned-politician himself with the assistance of an Assistant
