14 hurt in Bara passenger bus mishap

BARA, JULY 11At least 14 passengers were injured after a passenger bus met with an
accident near the Pasaha Bridge along the East-West Lok Marg in Jitpur-Simara Sub-Metropolitan City-16 of Bara on Thursday morning.

According to police, the incident occurred when the bus (Na 4 Kha 7194), en route from Malangwa in Sarlahi to Birgunj, overturned while
attempting to overtake.Among the injured, Rabin Tamang (28) and Lorence Lama (31), both residents of Nijgadh Municipality-9 in Bara, are
being treated at B -C Hospital in Birgunj
Other injured passengers include Navaraj Acharya (40) from Chandranigahapur Municipality-6 in Rautahat; Rambabu Chaudhary (48) from the same
municipality's Ward No
4; Asha Tamang (22) from Jitpur-Simara-3, Bara; Rickdev Prasad Yadav (25) from Kalaiya Sub-Metropolitan City-13 in Bara; Lalbuba Das (33)
from Garuda Municipality-09 in Rautahat; Kailash Yadav (24) and Ram Udgar Sah (32), both from the same area; and Rakesh Kumar Yadav (17).
Additional injured passengers include Tirja Upreti, approximately 36, from Nijgadh Municipality-09 in Bara; Laxmi Ghising (20)
from Jitpur-Simara-3; Krishna Prasad Adhikari (45) from Ward No
14; and Sanjha Devi (42) from Bindabasini Municipality-1 in Rautahat.Some of the injured are being treated at Simara Government Hospital,
while seven are receiving treatment at B -C Hospital in Birgunj, according to Bara Police spokesperson Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP)
Dadhiram Neupane.There were 26 passengers on board the bus at the time of the incident.The bus driver, Jaynarayan Mahato, approximately 45,
from Malangwa Municipality-09 in Sarlahi, is currently absconding after the incident
Efforts are underway to locate him, police said.The driver's assistant, Rakesh Kumar Sah (28) from Malangwa-10, is in custody at the Area
Police Office, Nijgadh, according to spokesperson DSP Ghimire.
