[Afghanistan] - UNICEF: 23.7 million individuals in Afghanistan require humanitarian aid

United Nations Children&s Fund said in its latest report that in 2024, 23.7 million people in Afghanistan, including 12.3 million children,
have asked for humanitarian aid.The report stated that in the first six months of this year, UNICEF attended to 2.8 million children and
their guardians, including 26% women, for mental health and psychosocial support services.The report adds that heavy rains and flash floods
in May affected 21 districts in Badakhshan, Baghlan and Takhar provinces, as a result of which 180 people died and 280 others were
injured.UNICEF says it provided drinking water services to 442,000 people, sanitation services to 269,000 people and health protection
