Green, where spiked barricades were placed on the roads around the Presidential Palace, has been fixed for hearing by the Supreme Court.The
petition, filed by Attorney-at-Law Senaka Perera, claims that the fundamental human rights of the public were violated through this act,
since these roadblocks posed a danger to the people.The relevant petition was taken up by a three-member Supreme Court judge bench
notice be issued to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and the Attorney General, who have been named as respondents in the petition, to
appear before the court on March 04, 2025.The petitioner argues that the spiked barricades placed by the police during the protests posed
50 million for the affected individuals.
