controversial comments during a meeting held in Akuressa regarding the SJB parliamentarian Velu Kumar, who had recently pledged his support
to President Ranil Wickremesinghe at the upcoming Presidential Election.The Colombo District Court issued this order after considering a
plaint filed by MP Velu Kumar demanding a compensation of Rs
500 million for the damage caused to his reputation by the statement made by MP Dayasiri Jayasekara during a meeting held in the Akuressa
area.Accordingly, this order was issued preventing the publishing of the relevant statement on social media platforms including the Facebook
