[Nepal] - Sole Russian Dhaulagiri expedition reaches Camp II

making slow progress as the alpinists set up camp II, according to expedition organizers.

the higher camp."The team led by Alexander Dusheyko from Russia has been struggling hard to climb Dhaulagiri in an alpine style," Sherpa
said. The other members of the team include Vladimir Peresedov, Valerii Shamalo, Oleg Timkin, Maksin Makarov, Dmitrii
Timkin, Sergei Votrotyntsev, Dmitrii Kliukin, Oleg Kruglov, Vladimir Chistikov, Dmitrii Shpilevoi, Mikhail Nosenko and Denis Aleksenko from
Russia as well as Artsiom Tsentsevitski from Belarus.Under the Russian Dhaulagiri Expedition' team, the climbers will attempt to scale the
8,167-metre mountain without guide support, according to Sherpa
The Department of Tourism confirmed that the Dusheyko-led expedition is the only team which obtained climbing permits for Dhaulagiri in the
autumn season.
