The Airport Police have arrested an airport employee who had allegedly opened the luggage of passengers arriving at Bandaranaike
International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake and stole items from them.The suspect, an employee in the baggage handling section, had reportedly
after investigative officers from the airport had observed the camera footage and reported the suspect to the Katunayake Airport Police.The
employee was apprehended.Katunayake Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
