The Commissioner General of Elections, Saman Sri Ratnayake, announced that a total of 764 nomination papers were submitted by political
only 690 nomination papers were accepted from political parties and independent groups for the election and that 74 nomination papers were
rejected.Speaking to reporters this evening (11) after the nomination period ended, he stated that the highest number of nominations were
