President Anura Kumara Dissanayake met the European Union (EU) Delegation, led by EU Ambassador H.E
Carmen Moreno, today (25) at the Presidential Secretariat.The President notified the EU Delegation about Sri Lankas present security
scenario, highlighting recent steps to enhance safety for travelers and citizens, the Presidents Media Division (PMD) stated.He guaranteed
that security procedures in essential traveler areas are strengthened with more police and emergency situation services deployed.The
European Union is a critical partner for Sri Lanka, functioning as its second-largest export and traveler market, and third-largest import
market, the PMD added.The EU Delegation reaffirmed its dedication to supporting Sri Lanka in expanding its market access, enhancing job
opportunity within the EU, and boosting tourist
Additionally, the EU promised support for understanding exchange and executing new systems in education, social security, and
anti-corruption efforts.The Delegation stressed the EUs dedication to reinforcing crucial sectors, including occupation education, maritime,
investment, and the peace and reconciliation process
They likewise guaranteed close cooperation to advance these shared priorities.The Delegation applauded Sri Lanka on the tranquil conduct of
the current Presidential Election.Furthermore, ambassadors from the Kingdom of the Netherlands, France, and Romania conveyed congratulatory
