Taking center stage at the Outdoor Fair organized by 'The Outside SG' in Singapore, Lakpa shared his insights
on Nepal's mountaineering industry, inviting more foreigners to Nepal for adventure activities.Presenting his thoughts on Sherpa and the
Mountain Climbing Culture in Nepal to over 700 international outdoor enthusiasts, Lakpa said that adventure in Nepal is not only about
summiting mountains but also about understanding the climbing process, Sherpa culture, and community, as well as the hardships faced by the
climbing guides and support staff. "Climbing or expeditions is a systematic process where so many elements are involved,"
Lakpa, who has spent over 13 years in the mountaineering field, told the gathering
According to him, younger generations are much more enthusiastic about Nepal's mountaineering activities, in which they are now leading the
tourism sector.According to Lakpa, preparing an expedition on any mountain always follows a robust and comprehensive process
"Summit is the ultimate goal for any climber, but the due procedures, including logistic management, base camp handling, rescue mechanisms,
and client satisfaction, are equally crucial," he shared. Lakpa, 32, was involved in several rare rescue missions in the Mt Everest death
"From base camp management to rope fixing, Sherpas play a vital role in making expeditions successful in Nepal," he said.Lakpa, a Lulka
