The Department of Meteorology states that showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Northern and North-Central Provinces and in
Puttalam and Trincomalee districts today (07 )
Relatively heavy showers above 50mm are most likely at some locations in Northern Province, the department added.Meanwhile, showers or
thundershowers will happen at numerous places in Central, Sabaragamuwa, Uva and Southernprovinces during the evening or night, according to
Department.Thus, the general public is kindly asked for to take appropriate preventative measures to decrease damages brought on by
momentary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
