Former Minister Lohan Ratwatte and his spouse have been bought to be remanded further until November 18 by the Nugegoda Magistrates
Court.The previous Minister of State Lohan Ratwatte and his partner, who were detained and remanded over the charges of utilizing a luxury
automobile illegally imported and put together in Sri Lanka, were produced before the Nugegoda Magistrates Court this morning (07 )
Ratwatte, who was apprehended by Mirihana Police in Kandy on October 31, was bought to be remanded by the Nugegoda Additional Magistrate up
until today.However, on November 02, the previous Minister was admitted to the prison medical facility owing to a health problem, where he
was subsequently moved to Colombo National Hospital.Meanwhile, on November 04, Shashi Prabha Ratwatte, the wife of the former State
Minister, was also arrested after appearing before the Nugegoda Magistrates Court in relation to the occurrence, according to a court order,
where she was purchased to be remanded in custody until today.Police had found the luxury vehicle in concern throughout an evaluation
performed based upon info received by the cops head office regarding a luxury cars and truck without number plates at a three-storied house
in the Embuldeniya location in Mirihana, coming from Shashi Prabha Ratwatte, the other half of former State Minister Lohan Ratwatte.During
the investigation, both Ratwatte and his wife had discussed to the police that his mother-in-law lives in the said house
They had claimed that the cars and truck had actually been brought there three weeks back by Ratwattes personal secretary, who was recently
found dead with gunshot injuries in the Katugastota area of Kandy.However, Ratwatte, who was admitted to the Prison Hospital for treatment
on November 02, was later on transferred to the Colombo General Hospital, owing to an unexpected illness while in custody.
