Representatives of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) are scheduled to release an official statement today (23) concerning the 3rd
evaluation under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF)
The announcement is expected to include details of a Staff-Level Agreement on financial policies connected to concluding the 3rd review.The
Government of Sri Lanka verified that conversations on the third review under the IMFs Extended Fund Facility program were effectively
concluded the other day (22 )
The conference, held at the Presidential Secretariat, was attended by a delegation representing the IMF, led by Senior Mission Chief Peter
Breuer, the Presidents Media Division (PMD) said.Representing the Sri Lankan government, the delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of
Economic Development, Professor Anil Jayantha Fernando.Accordingly, the conversations in between the IMF and the Government of Sri Lanka
referring to the third evaluation were successfully concluded, the declaration stated.
