efficiency across essential sectors.Provisional data from Sri Lanka Customs indicates that merchandise export incomes for December 2024
amounted to US$ 1,042.5 million, a 4.06% increase compared to December 2023
This development was driven by higher incomes from Apparel - & Textiles, Tea, Rubber-based items, Coconut-based items, Spices - &
Concentrates, and Food - & Beverages.Services exports for December 2024 were approximated at US$ 322.92 million, representing a substantial
29.96% boost over the corresponding duration in 2023
As an outcome, overall exports for December 2024, consisting of merchandise and services, totaled up to US$ 1,365.42 million, reflecting a
moderate year-on-year development of 9.21%.
