A suspect desired for aiding and abetting in the current triple murder at Middeniya, has been arrested at the Bandaranaike International
Airport (BIA) in Katunayake while attempting to leave for Dubai, the police said.Police have now jailed more than 10 suspects, consisting of
two cops constables and two former army soldiers, over the incident.The shooting happened on the night of February 18, targeting a male
taking a trip by motorcycle with his 2 children near the Kadewatta Junction in Middeniya.The target of the shooters, a private referred to
as Kajja who was riding the motorbike, was killed on the area
His kid and child, who were critically hurt, were rushed to the Embilipitiya and Tangalle hospitals.Despite getting medical treatment, the
six-year-old daughter caught her injuries soon after being confessed to the Tangalle Hospital, while the nine-year-old child died the
following day.Police suspect that the murder was managed as vengeance for taking a parcel of Cannabis belonging to a notorious drug
trafficker infamously called Backhoe Saman.According to cops, the gunmanwho was detained along with 9 othersconfessed that he performed the
execution on an agreement from Backhoe Saman due to his own mounting personal financial obligation.
