Russian media reported Monday.Yefremov, 61, was sentenced in 2020 to 8 years in a medium-security jail after he eliminated a van chauffeur
in a head-on crash while intoxicated
His sentence was later on minimized to seven and a half years on appeal.In 2023, Yefremov asked for then withdrew a bid to replace his
prison term with restorative labor

lawyers.On Monday, a court in Belgorod gave his parole request, according to the pro-Kremlin paper Izvestia
Yefremovs lawyer, Yuri Padalko, informed Izvestia that his customer would be released within 15 days.Under the regards to his parole,
Yefremov will be banned from driving and need to report regularly to authorities up until completion of his sentence in 2027
Yefremov, who said his health weakened throughout his time in jail, has long been understood for his portrayal of a jolly drunk on screen
throughout his three-decade movie and theater career
His legal representative claims he requires treatment outside the Russian prison system.
