A gunman opened fire on traffic authorities from the roofing system of a 14-story structure late Sunday in the northern Russian city of
Murmansk, authorities said.Eyewitness videos captured the noise of shooting in what seemed a property area, revealing a shape of a man on
the roofing at night.Murmansk area Governor Andrei Chibis hadurged residents to take preventative measures and refrain from filming during
the active shooter situation.The local branch of Russias Investigative Committee, which probes significant crimes, said no one was hurt in
the shooting.The shooter was neutralized during the storming of the roofing system, the Investigative Committee said.Russias National Guard
launched footage of its officers planning their operation to take the roofing system by force.On Monday, Russian state media reported that
the suspected shooter was in critical condition
He was identified as Vladislav Zavgorodny, a staff member of a state-funded fishing vessel rescue service, the state-run news agency TASS
reported, citing anonymous security sources.
