NEW DELHI: The BSE Smallcap index was trading 0.71 per cent up at 18,370 around 12:55 pm (IST)
Shares of Soril Infra Resources (up 17.34 per cent) and Moschip Semiconductor Technology (up 15.90 per cent) zoomed over 15 per cent in the
smallcap index.
Stocks such as Merck (up 10.25 per cent), Selan Exploration Technology (up 10 per cent), Pioneer Distilleries (up 9.99 per
cent) and Sasken Technologies (up 9 per cent) surged up to 10 per cent.
On the other hand, Arihant Superstructures (down 8.56 per cent),
Sathavahana Ispat (down 7.96 per cent), Srikalahasthi Pipes (down 7.76 per cent), Videocon Industries (down 7.56 per cent) and Bhushan Steel
(down 7.11 per cent) plunged over 7 per cent in the smallcap index.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 59 points at 10,751, while the BSE
Sensex was up 217 points at 35,187.
In the BSE Sensex index, 27 stocks were trading in the green, while 4 were in the red
YES Bank, TCS and Hindustan Unilever were leading the pack of Sensex gainers.
On the other hand, Axis Bank and Reliance Industries were the
top drags on the Sensex kitty.
