Nifty IT index fall on the poor show of HCL Tech, Tech Mahindra, TCS

(down 1.83 per cent), Infibeam Incorporation (down 1.52 per cent), Tech Mahindra (down 1.20 per cent), Wipro (down 1.15 per cent), Tata
Consultancy Services (down 0.92 per cent) and Infosys (down 0.20 per cent) also went home with losses. Domestic equity benchmarks closed on
a flat note on Wednesday ahead of US Fed policy meet outcome
Weak Asian cues and uninspiring March quarter earnings of some bluechip companies too dented investor sentiment. The 50-share Nifty pack
closed the day 21 points, or 0.20 per cent, down at 10,718, while the BSE Sensex clocked nominal gains of 16 points, or 0.05 per cent,
ending at 35,176. Apollo Micro Systems, Bharat Electronics, Chennai Petroleum Corporation, HDIL and Hindustan Motors joined the bandwagon of
those 137 stocks that hit fresh 52-week lows on NSE on Wednesday. Vedanta, HCL Technologies and Hindalco stood among the top losers in the
Nifty index.
