NEW DELHI: Gains in Titan Company (up 1.43 per cent), PC Jeweller (up 0.74 per cent) and VIP Industries (up 0.13 per cent) were keeping the
BSE Consumer Durables index up in Wednesday's trade.
The BSE Consumer Durables index was trading 0.33 per cent up at 22,487 around 12:25 pm
However, shares of Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals (down 1.63 per cent), Bajaj Electricals (down 1.08 per cent) and TTK Prestige
(down 1.03 per cent) declined over 1 per cent in the consumer durables index
Rajesh Exports (down 0.87 per cent), Symphony (down 0.75 per cent), Blue Star (down 0.72 per cent) and Whirlpool of India (down 0.44 per
cent) were also in the red.
Equity benchmarks edged up on gains in select IT, metal, bank and auto stocks
The BSE Sensex was up 57 points at 35,274, while the NSE Nifty50 index was up 10 points at 10,728.
In the Sensex index, 16 stocks were in
the green, while 15 were in the red
Tata Motors, Bharti Airtel and Asian Paints were leading the pack of Sensex gainers, whereas Mahindra Mahindra, HDFC and State Bank of
India were the top losers in the Sensex index.
