Share market update: FMCG shares trade in the red; Godrej Consumer Products dips 2%

NEW DELHI: FMCG shares were trading in the red with the Nifty FMCG index trading 0.53 per cent down at 28,572.35 around 11:10 am on
Tuesday. Shares of Godrej Consumer Products (down 1.80 per cent), Godrej Industries (down 1.39 per cent), Tata Global Beverages (down 1.36
per cent) and Emami (down 1.34 per cent) were the worst performers in the index
ColgatePalmolive (India) (down 0.83 per cent), ITC (down 0.64 per cent), Procter Gamble Hygiene Healthcare (down 0.60 per cent) and Dabur
India (down 0.50 per cent) too were trading in the red
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 26.80 points at 10,550.8 while BSE Sensex was up 113.27 points at 35,064.19 at that time. Among the 50
stocks in the Nifty index, 26 were trading in the green, while 24 were in the red
Shares of Tata Motors, SBI, Vedanta, YES Bank, Cipla, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Ashok Leyland, Bank of Baroda, Idea Cellular, RIL, Indian Oil
Corp, GAIL, BHEL and Tata Motors were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
